About Precious

Hello, I'm Precious Grimes, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a passion for guiding individuals through their life journeys. I hold an M.A. in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University and a Master in Public Administration (MPA) from Southern Illinois University. Currently, I'm pursuing my Ph.D. in Psychology, with a special focus on research to benefit marginalized communities.

My belief is simple yet profound: we cannot heal ourselves unless we are acutely aware of the societal and cultural issues that collectively impact our lives.

With a background in various roles for community agencies, such as Director of Grant Funded Programs, Director of Quality Assurance, and Director of Clinical and Educational Programs, I've had the privilege of integrating my professional experiences in therapeutic settings with my educational foundation. This journey has culminated in the creation of Therapeutic Glow Counseling and led to obtaining a yoga certification specializing in somatic practices for healing trauma.

My passion is deeply rooted in assisting people in understanding the intricate connections they have to various aspects of their lives. I firmly believe that these connections play a pivotal role in shaping our perception of the world. To me, understanding the impact and significance of our own narratives is key to defining and redefining ourselves in alignment with our true desires.

I also hold a profound belief in the value of time. Time is inevitable and it provides us with endless opportunities to shift the narrative of our lives.

I am not just a counselor; I'm a survivor who has come to appreciate the importance of self-preservation. My mission is to help women discover their innate power, rewrite their narratives, and break free from the restraints of trauma. I am deeply committed to fostering a collaborative environment where women can cycle through their individual healing journeys.

Together, we have the capacity to overcome even the most challenging circumstances when we harness our innate power to heal. I am dedicated to facilitating women in embracing their natural ability to heal. Through a therapeutic approach rooted in holistic methods, we can achieve sustainable transformation and become the best versions of ourselves.
